Throughout her career, Amrutha has held pivotal roles in various NGOs, including as a Founder Member of Samathaa Trust and State Program Director for Mahila Samkhyaa Karnataka. She has managed large-scale programs, reaching over 54,522 women, 28,064 adolescent girls, and 18,198 adolescent boys across nine districts in Karnataka. Her contributions have spanned program management, organization development, and training, with a focus on gender and adolescent health, rights, and livelihood skills for women. She has also been instrumental in mentoring team members, collaborating with government and non-government organizations, and producing training materials in both English and Kannada.
As a researcher, Amrutha has contributed to qualitative studies, action research studies and has presented papers at national conferences, including on topics like empowering adolescent girls and gender health equity. Her published work includes articles such as “Vision to Reality-Mahila Samkhya Case Study,” which provides valuable insights into her extensive experience.
